New England Surf Girls Earn Promotion to ECNL RL Teal Division

New England Surf is proud to announce that its Girls program has earned promotion to the newly formed ECNL Regional League Teal Division for the 2026/27 season.
The new division brings together the top-performing ECNL Regional League clubs from across the Northeast, creating a higher level of competition throughout the U13-U19 age groups. Designed to elevate the Regional League platform, the Teal Division offers clubs the opportunity to compete consistently against some of the region’s strongest programs while providing an additional step in the player development pathway.
For New England Surf, earning a place in the inaugural Teal Division is another important milestone in the continued growth of the club’s girls program.
“Earning promotion to the ECNL Regional League Teal Division is an exciting step in our journey and a significant milestone for our girls program,” said State Girls Director Darren Gallagher. “It validates the work we’ve put in and establishes us as one of the highest-performing clubs in the ECNL Regional League. Joining this new tier allows us to continue raising our standards and reinforces our commitment to providing the best possible pathway for our players.”
The promotion reflects years of work throughout the club. It is the result of players embracing the challenge of improving every day, coaches delivering a consistent developmental philosophy, and families investing their trust and support in the long-term vision of the program.

Promotion to the Teal Division validates that shared commitment and the culture we’ve built together over the past several years.”
Beginning this fall, Surf teams will compete against many of the strongest ECNL RL clubs in the Northeast on a weekly basis. The new league structure creates a more competitive environment and gives players more opportunities to perform in front of college coaches and scouts while continuing their development against top-level opposition.
“Competing in the Teal Division will expose our players to a consistently higher level of competition,” Gallagher said. “Our teams will be challenged every week against quality opponents, helping prepare them for college soccer and beyond. That’s what excites us most: the opportunity to test ourselves in every match, continue growing as a club, and embrace the challenge that comes with competing at this level.”
While promotion to the Teal Division is a significant achievement, Gallagher sees it as another step in New England Surf’s long-term journey rather than the final destination.
