New England Surf Joins Three Surf Clubs for 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup Experience in Brazil
New England Surf, Rhode Island Surf, New Jersey Surf and New York Surf come together for an international soccer experience bringing young female players to Rio de Janeiro.
New England Surf is joining forces with Rhode Island Surf, New Jersey Surf and New York Surf for an international experience during the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Organized in partnership with Global Sports Experiences (GSE), the eight-night trip, taking place June 23 – July 1, 2027, will bring together U12, U14 and U16 girls from all four clubs for a shared journey combining soccer development, international competition and the excitement of the world’s biggest women’s soccer tournament.
For New England Surf, the collaboration creates an opportunity for players to represent their club on an international stage while building connections with athletes from across the wider Surf community.
“For our club, this is about giving our players opportunities that go beyond what they experience during a regular season,” said Tommaso Trevisan, COO of New England Surf. “Bringing four Surf clubs together in Brazil, during a Women’s World Cup, creates something bigger than any one club could offer on its own. Our girls will compete, learn and experience the game together, and that’s what makes this collaboration so valuable.”
“Our players will experience the Women’s World Cup in Brazil while building friendships and connections across our clubs. It’s the kind of experience that can inspire them for years to come,” said Jon Feinstein of East Coast Surf.
“There’s a big difference between watching the game grow and being part of it,” said Aleksej Skundric, General Manager of Rhode Island Surf. “That’s a perspective you can’t recreate on a regular training field.”
Train, Compete and Experience Brazil
The soccer program will feature four training sessions at professional club facilities in Rio de Janeiro, such as Flamengo and Fluminense, led by local club coaching staff, alongside two friendly matches against Brazilian opposition and a futsal match, introducing players to different dimensions of Brazil’s soccer culture.
Off the field, New England Surf players and their families will experience the atmosphere of the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, including attendance at a tournament match in Rio de Janeiro and the FIFA Fan Festival.
The experience also includes opportunities to discover some of Rio’s most iconic landmarks, from Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain to the legendary Maracanã Stadium, along with a beach footvolley session and time to enjoy Brazilian culture.
For New England Surf, the experience reflects the club’s commitment to providing opportunities that extend beyond the regular season, giving young female players the chance to grow through international competition and shared experiences.
