New England Surf Welcomes New Coaches for the 26–27 Soccer Season
A new season brings new opportunities, new goals, and new faces to the New England Surf Soccer Club community.
As New England Surf kicks off the 2026–2027 soccer season, we are excited to welcome a talented group of coaches who bring professional playing experience, international backgrounds, collegiate coaching knowledge, and, most importantly, a shared passion for developing young soccer players.
Some of the new coaches joining the Surf family this season are Daniele Verdirosi, Alexandre Di Estefano, Evren Gunduz, Pedro Zampilli, Alex Panos, and Bleon Arllati.
While their soccer journeys have taken very different paths, each coach shares an important belief that is at the heart of New England Surf: youth soccer is about more than what happens during 90 minutes on the field. It is an opportunity to build confidence, character, relationships, resilience, and a lifelong love for the game.
Welcome Coach Daniele Verdirosi

Coach Daniele Verdirosi joins New England Surf with an impressive playing background as a former professional soccer player and two-time All-American.
His coaching philosophy is rooted in something simple but powerful: loving football is the key.
Daniele wants his players to enjoy coming to training, have fun with the game, and develop in an environment where hard work and passion go hand in hand. For him, one of the greatest rewards of coaching is watching young players grow, improve, and develop their own love for soccer.
Throughout the 2026–2027 season, Surf players and families can expect professionalism, communication, consistency, and a strong commitment to player development from Coach Daniele.
Away from soccer, there is another place where Daniele feels right at home: the kitchen. He loves to cook and says he is pretty good at it!
Welcome Coach Alexandre Di Estefano

Coach Alexandre Di Estefano brings an extensive international soccer background to New England Surf.
During his professional playing career, Alexandre competed in Brazil, Oman, Albania, Thailand, South Korea, and Japan, allowing him to experience different soccer cultures, coaching styles, and approaches to player development around the world.
Those experiences helped shape the coach he is today.
Alexandre believes successful coaching goes beyond teaching technical skills and tactics. It also requires understanding players, motivating them, building their confidence, and creating an environment where they are excited to challenge themselves.
At New England Surf, Alexandre plans to use his professional experience to help players develop technically, tactically, physically, and mentally while creating a positive, energetic atmosphere.
Welcome Coach Evren Gunduz

For Coach Evren Gunduz, the soccer field is one of life’s greatest classrooms.
Evren’s approach to coaching centers around helping young athletes develop not only as soccer players but also as people. He brings positive energy, hard work, encouragement, plenty of hype, and FUN to the field.
His goal is to understand what his players want to accomplish and help them develop the confidence and skills needed to chase those goals.
Evren’s passion for leadership extends beyond soccer as well. He is a published author whose book, The Best Week of My Life, shares stories centered around leadership, resilience, and belonging.
Meet Coach Pedro Zampilli

New England Surf is also excited to welcome Pedro Zampilli to the NES Metro South coaching staff.
Pedro brings his USSF C License and collegiate coaching experience to the Surf sidelines.
Growing up, Pedro dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player. Although his own journey ultimately took him in a different direction, his passion for the sport never disappeared.
Today, that experience helps drive his coaching.
Pedro is passionate about helping young players pursue their own goals, explore their potential, and discover just how far the game of soccer can take them.
Welcome Coach Alex Panos

Joining New England Surf Metro Boston for the 2026–2027 season is Coach Alex Panos.
Soccer and coaching have been part of Alex’s life from an early age. His father, a Division I college soccer coach, became one of his greatest coaching influences and helped teach him the importance of bringing passion and enthusiasm to the game.
Alex strongly believes in the positive impact youth sports can have on a player’s overall development.
Surf families can expect open communication, reliability, individual attention, and a commitment to helping players grow both on and off the soccer field.
And when Coach Alex isn’t talking soccer, you may find him making music. He plays lead guitar in a band and is a big music fan!
Welcome Coach Bleon Arllati

Coach Bleon Arllati joins New England Surf Metro Boston after growing up playing competitive soccer in Kosovo, where he competed as a center back and defensive midfielder.
His experience as a player helped shape an important part of his coaching philosophy: every player develops differently.
Rather than expecting every athlete to progress along the same path, Bleon focuses on understanding individual players, building their confidence, and creating an environment where mistakes become part of the learning process.
He wants players to work hard and compete while still enjoying training and feeling comfortable challenging themselves.
Positivity, communication, high standards, and individual development will be central to his approach throughout the season.
Building the Future of New England Surf
The strength of a youth soccer club is built not only through competition and results but through the people who create the environment players experience every day.
Daniele Verdirosi, Alexandre Di Estefano, Evren Gunduz, Pedro Zampilli, Alex Panos, and Bleon Arllati bring different backgrounds, personalities, experiences, and coaching philosophies to New England Surf. Together, they add even more depth to a coaching community focused on helping young athletes develop their game and their confidence.
As the 2026–2027 New England Surf Soccer Club season gets underway, we look forward to seeing the relationships these coaches build, the lessons they share, and the impact they make throughout our Surf communities.
To all our new coaches: welcome to New England Surf. Welcome to the Surf family. The season is just getting started.
