Regional Open House

The Regional Teams Open House is designed as a welcoming entry point into New England Surf for younger players and families who want to experience the club environment firsthand.

These sessions focus on introducing players to Surf’s training philosophy, coaching standards, and community, while allowing our staff to understand each player’s current level and needs in a supportive, low-pressure setting. For many players, this is their first step into organized club soccer - and our priority is ensuring they feel confident, challenged, and excited to grow.

At the Regional level, players train closer to home alongside peers at a similar stage of development. The emphasis is on learning, enjoyment, and building a strong foundation, rather than selection pressure. Families also gain clarity on how Surf operates as a club, what development looks like over time, and how players can progress within the Surf pathway as they grow.

This is not just about joining a team - it’s about becoming part of a community that values development, clear communication, and a positive soccer experience from the very beginning.

Important Changes to Birth Year Cutoff

U.S. Soccer and most competitive leagues will be shifting to a new age group formation beginning in the Fall 2026 season.

The 2025–2026 season will remain under the current birth year rules, giving families and players a full year to prepare for the transition.

Beginning in Fall 2026, the new August 1 – July 31 age cutoff will apply.
