Metro West Region Spotlight: Growth, Talent, and Community on Full Display
The New England Surf Metro West Region continues to shine as a hub of talent, development, and team success. From standout player achievements to impressive team performances, the program is thriving under the guidance of dedicated coaches and a supportive community.
Why We’re Proud
Regional Manager Kayla Steeves shared what makes Metro West special:
“I’m incredibly proud of our Metro West region because of the dedication and growth we see in our players. From celebrating individual achievements like Cadha’s success with Surf Select to witnessing teams like our G2014 Navy dominate their division, it’s clear that our athletes are developing into exceptional players and individuals.”
Player Spotlight: Cadha Jackson
One of the brightest young stars in the region, Cadha Jackson of the G2016 Navy team was recently selected to join the Surf Select G2016 team. She traveled to Florida this past April to represent the program and made an immediate impact—scoring 7 goals during the event. Cadha’s performance is a testament to the high-quality training and support provided in the Metro West region.
Team Spotlights
-
G2014 Navy (Coach Billy Beauzile): Currently undefeated in their NECSL U11 division with a 4-0-0 record, this team has scored 15 goals while conceding just 3. Their impressive form carried over to the 2025 NEFC Spring Showcase, where they captured the U11 Girls Blue Division title, winning all four matches and taking home the championship in a thrilling final that went to penalty kicks.
-
B2014 Navy (Coach Abel Barreto): This side has also shown great form, sitting 4th out of 11 in their competitive NECSL U11 flight with a positive goal differential. Their steady progress highlights the depth of talent being developed across age groups.
-
B2017 JAS (Coach Emmett Bradley): Our youngest competitive team has had a strong year, particularly this spring with 8 wins and 4 losses while competing in the Forekicks Taunton Jamborees. Their development on the field is a reflection of the strong foundation built through our coaching staff and training environment.
